The ABE's Travel, Tourism and
Hospitality Programme provides a pathway through which
students aspiring to management roles in the sector can
develop a combination of key business skills and
industry knowledge in preparation for the varied and
demanding careers which the industry offers. The ABE is
the market leader in the cost-effective provision of
quality-assured British management education leading to
awards which are valued in their own right, but which
are also recognised as an accepted route into the later
stages of a number of other UK and overseas professional
or university qualifications.

The Diploma parts can be studied in any order Exemptions
from Diploma subjects may be granted to holders of
qualifications of certain other professional bodies.
Advanced Diploma
The three compulsory papers are:
Corporate Strategy
International Travel, Tourism and Hospitality
Tourism and the Environment
Students must pass two of the following options:
Management
Organization
Strategic Marketing
Strategic Human Resource Management
Managing the Information Resource
The Advanced Diploma papers are set and marked to the
level of the second year of a UK Business Studies degree
programme.
Following passes in the requisite five subjects above,
the successful student will be awarded the Advanced
Diploma in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality.
Entry requirements
Diploma: ABE Certificate in Travel, Tourism
and Hospitality; or ABE Certificate in Business
Administration; or two GCE ‘A’ levels together
with four GCSEs at grade C or above, including English
Language and Maths; or at least two years’
appropriate work experience.
Advanced Diploma: ABE Diploma in Travel,
Tourism and Hospitality or a degree, awarded by a
recognised UK or overseas University or there recognised
qualifications of approved overseas Institutions of
Higher Education.
